The 14-minute Pokemon Presents presentation has come to an end and the last piece of news that was shared was the announcement of the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet games that are headed to Nintendo Switch later this year. Developed in the same style as the popular Legends Areceus title, where the classic formula was turned on its head, you’ll be choosing from three starter Pokemon and we got a glimpse at the choices today with the announcement. I’m glad that they are reusing the same mechanics style from Pokemon Legends Arceus in Gen 9 which they are still sticking to the style tone. Also the names for the new starters are the red one is Quaxly, the white one is Fuecoco and Sprigatito, the green one.
Is it 100% confirmed this game will use the Legends mechanics?
Yes it will.
This isn’t confirmed.
What I mean is, the open-world elements are confirmed, but the battle system isn’t talked about much yet. They have confirmed that we will have to battle Pokémon to catch them again.
I know they didn’t show the gameplay of the new gen in the presentation, but its awesome that we got a new gen coming late this year.
